Dear Friends ,
In wake of the Covid 19 pandemic ,when the QI onsite mentorings have come to a grinding halt (due to lockdowns and social distancing) ,this COP Platform comes as a gush of fresh air to infuse new energy in healthcare teams across India and SE Asia .The COP will aim to create a psychologically safe enivronment on a digital platform wherein each teaches and each learns. It will be a mix of work and play, serious discussion to witty conversations. In short it would be your hangout for those times when you just want to be with your cup of tea and your friends and colleagues in the confines of your own personal space .This will provide each one of us the opportunity to contribute to the betterment of the quality of healthcare primariliy focussing on service delivery using point of care quality improvement methodology. The COP expresses its gratitude to WHO SEARO and ISQua for supporting the cause and MGIMS Sevagram for agreeing to be an institutional partner in this endeavour. This platform would not have been possible without your support and guidance .The COP welcomes you and your teams to develop this tool and utilize it to its full potential for delivering high quality patient centered ,safe, affordable and timely care to countless citizens of this nation.
Another major achievement of this COP has been the conceptualisation and launch of the Journal for QI in Healthcare which has been a long felt need in LMIC settings to showcase local work which often goes unnoticed due to multiple reasons. The COP Journal will provide dedicated space for original improvement stories from primary healthcare settings ,nursing colleagues and medical and nursing students besides showcasing more formal quality improvement work.Under the able guidance of the editorial team the aforementioned aims would be achieved.
A set of innovative online courses would be soon uploaded to cater to the needs to all sections of the community.
Looking forward to your active participation in the activities of the COP
